So, I was at this larp set in Britain 1792. I played a desperate woman who needed to find a fiancee by Thursday or the control of all my money would go to my uncle. In addition, I was a lesbian and madly in love with one of the servants, a lovely woman named Gabrielle. During the larp I not only found a fiancee, made a lot of important friends and gambled and drank to my hearts desire, I also became the queen of the masque ball. And, as I´m sure you all know, even though we all say that it´s not important to be queen of the ball, we all secretly want it...

Since I'm sure many people have already dazzeled you all with their detailed, yet clever reports from comicon, I will not bother to write down everything. Suffice to say, the hostel was really nice (hostel cat, go there if you're in the San Diego area), the panels were both fun and interesting and I got in on a press pass, meaning I got the conferance for free and could run up in front of the stage and take pictures without feeling bad.

I will however, give you the best quotes from the conferance and a few pictures.

(oh, and I just have to say this: Yes, I saw Jensen Ackles, yes he was about 3 feet from me, no I didn't get to talk to him, but I got to talk to Eric Kripke, and though he spent the entire time he wasn't talking posing for the pictures he knew people were taking, he was both funny and halfway intelligent when he spoke. I love that man!)

quotes and pics )

Oh, yeah, and I met [livejournal.com profile] chesire_monkey and [livejournal.com profile] abigor_60 again, and we hung out practically throughout the entire conferance. Which pretty much doubled the fun. thanks guys!

And I met a whole bunch of other lj-ers. It was nice to finally meet you [livejournal.com profile] brianrubin. thank you for helping me to the front of the line for Supernatural. and here I thought it would have been enough to just show up at 7.30 for a panel that started at 2.45. You knew better, and I am grateful! And you [livejournal.com profile] limminel even though we only talked for about 5 minutes. :)

I will now add all the other people I met who I've yet to friend. Excellent conferance! :)

I think I’ve finally figured this world out. It goes like this: Nobody gets to have three things at once. Take me for instance, I’m both pretty and smart. This means I cannot have good health as well. Now, I’ve been okay with that for as long as I can remember, after all I’d rather have looks and brains than general health, but now, as I entering the third month of the hellish houseparty of germs that is my body (anyone ever wondered why the major never liked germs. Come by my place and I’ll show you!), I realize that something has to be done. And I have a plan. *pointing at a neatly made powerpoint presentation*

First: I need you guys to find me the body of a relatively young girl with looks and good health, but who lacks smarts and maybe even have a bad personality.

I'm just tossing out an example picture of what she could look like:

Then: I need to find a doctor, and persuade him (maybe like this:)
to switch our brains.

Et voila! I'll be a beautiful, smart and healthy woman with no problems whatsoever.

So? are you guys in?

(oh, and if you're wondering why I have this plan. I've just been diagnosed with peep cough (yes, it might be contagius Aina, but I'm on supermeds to make sure I'm not) and halsbetennelse (that thing where you get a soare throat and cannot eat solid foods because it hurts too much). I hate my body...)

I am so bored! Bored out of my scull! okay, so in just about 10 minutes I'm leaving to prepare a birthday party for one of the people working here, but that doesn't mean that the hours leading up to that amazingly thrilling job of going out and picking up cake (and yes, I'm being sarcastic here) has been fun And you guys don't comment/post enough! So there!

Anyways, it's snowing outside and I've uploaded loads of new icons. Go see! Go see! (Oh, and comment, I love comments. Plus, I'm bored)

Also, new Hot person of the month! Sad to see you go Jensen...

Yesterday I fully understood to which degree it sucks to be an adult. I've been coughing my lungs up since Friday (as I'm sure you already know, I am after all a master of complaining), and after every single employee at my work had come by my office to say that they felt sorry for me, and that I should go see a doctor for my cough (which resonates through three floors of office space apparently), I caved in and decided to go see one. Problem number one with being a grown up: I'm working as a substitute, so the firm I'm really working for, xtra personelle, may not pay for my time if I go see a doctor. Not willing to work extra because of a doctor's appointment yet again , I decided to go to the legevakt (emergency room? It sounds so much worse in English). There, I had to wait for approximately 3 hours before I got to go in an see the doctor. Now, if I was a child, I wouldn't have to worry about sick leave or waiting, I wouldn't have been alone in the waiting room for said three hours, and I wouldn't have to go by the pharmacy on my way home, especially not because my moter would have driven me instead of me taking public transport and scaring off the other passengers with my cough.

The good part of being an adult is the doctor treating you like you can think for yourself. And yet, I don't know if I want to have a doctor ask me to choose between several cough medicines I've never tried or had any sort of experience with. Oh well.

Another nice thing with being sick as a child was that my mother or father would bring home some soda and a bun for me, they'd rent me a movie and stop by in the middle of the day to make sure that I'd eaten something. Now, I have to make sure I eat something, stay on the sofa all alone and noone is ever going to bring me buns or soda. I'm stuck with stale frozen pizza and no rented movies of any kind. *feeling sorry for myself*

-look at me! All sick!

Today when I woke up (before sunrise I might add, turns out that being a vampire would not be a problem to me since I arrive at work before sunrise and leave after sunset. Yeah, go me...) the first thing I saw, looking out the window, was the guy living in the neighboring skyscraper (okay, so a very small skyscraper but I don't know what they're called. Blokk in English anyone?) making breakfast nude. And, when I thought about it, I remembered that I never actually see this guy in clothes. I've seen him have sex with his gay partner in the kitchen, seen him make dinner and breakfast in the kitchen, nude, but have never seen him prepare a meal, or eaten it, with clothes on. Anyways, this of course gave me "it's one fine day to be nude" to hum, so when I was walking naked to the shower I might have sung that to myself. Improving my day indeed.

Finally had a wacky dream myself. Will thus make a picture post of it. :)

Long time since i saw this meme
1. Think of the first word that comes to mind when you think of me.
2. Go to http://images.google.com/ and search for that word.
3. Reply to this post with one of the pictures on the first page of results.
4. Put this in your own LJ so that I can do the same.

Don't tell me the word you've chosen.

Pictures are posted by writing
<"img src="the complete name of url here"">
And remember to remove the first and last " marks (the ones closest to the <> symbols).

I added a few pics from the larp we made this summer in my bio. Look at how good we were building stuff. When we got there, there was nothing, when we were done there was a town.

So, we're going to this larp, where we'll be playing a group of people, one mechanic ([livejournal.com profile] akselwestlund), one pilot ([livejournal.com profile] mirazandar) and two military thugs (me and [livejournal.com profile] 45_hasle). And here's pictures! (Notice my user icon: See, I am a girl, even though these pictures make me look like a man...it's on purpose! No, really it is!) ;)

Go to this journal to find out the horrible truth:

I just have to see how my new user pic looks. Don't I look pretty? (Yes, I'm bored and alone at work)

Check the other one out too...They're both me.
I've gone through many phases in my search for a true hero. Someone I could really admire and look up to. Someone, try as I might, I would never overcome. True to form, they all came from movies. First, it was Randal from Clerks.

The way he treats his customers, the beauty of his disdain and total lack of etiquette. Truly inspiring. Also, he kept ordering porn, some of those movies I see every day in my store *shudder to think*, but he managed not only to order, but also to enjoy said movies. Randal was my hero for a long time.

Then came Ed, from Shaun of the Dead.

A character inspiring a sense of horrific facination in me. Lazy, messy, no ambitions and surprisingly good at playing video games. Their friendship overcame even the most serious of problems, death and zombiefication.

Ed was my hero until I started watching "My name is Earl". After 9 episodes in a row I realized that I had done it. I had found the ultimate rolemodel: Crabman!

Crabman is easy-going. I'm not sure I can say it in any other way. He takes life in stride, always looking allright and always smiling. Even when he has to serve poisoned cookies, or try to steal purses from old ladies, even when he finds out Earl slept with his wife, he is cool. He is so cool my pants are shaking. I will work long and hard at being that cool! I wish I was Crabman. (though I wouldn't have wanted his wife...)
