Went to bed early yesterday and watched Angel in bed. I love that show. Since I have nothing interesting (or uninteresting) to tell you from the life of the Martine today, I'll just cite an amazing scene from yesterday's episode:

Wesley: "There is a line. Between black and white, good and evil"
Lilah: "Funny thing about black and white. If you mix them you just get grey. And no matter how much white you try to put back in there, you still only get grey. And I don't see your texas gel wearing that color"

Awesome! But I like grey-Westley a lot more than I like white-Westley...so there!

(if anyone thought this was too spoilery, let me know and I'll put it behind a cut)

Oh, and note my new icon. Isn't it just awesome! Taking the geekdom to a new level...I love the way someone has to have watched both BSG and Supernatural to get it... ;)
I'm here with [livejournal.com profile] mirazandar and [livejournal.com profile] aj_stalin, drinking absinth and watching movies. It's fun!

Also, we saw this awsome fanvid with evil Draco. Must-see for everyone (and I promise it's not slashy and gay):

lookie lookie, egg and cookie

How evil are you?
When I got to work today, I found out that I'd been outed. That is, when I discreetly left the meeting yesterday to cough I coughed and barfed loudly enough that they could hear it all the way in to the meeting. So today, first, one of the girls went over to me and said: "You're going to the doctor's. Call him today. You have no choice." and, having just lost my entire breakfast, I had to grudgingly agree. Then, my boss came over to me to have a talk. It went something along these lines: "Martine, we're very glad to have you here and think you're a great asset. And it's very good that you want to be here working, but go to the doctor's now." So I went to the doctor's. Of course I had to say it didn't I? I had to mention the p-word. I've gotten pnemonia. The doctor seemed unconvinced that I would kick it in less than a week, and suggested I call him if I needed more time off next week.

Know what that means? I'll be on antibiotics and probably sick on the premiere of Equus!! This is a time for mind over matter. I'm getting well now. So there! Everybody please help me get well, okay? I'm opting for anything. Got a weird stone that will make me well if I wear it close to my heart? I'll wear it. Got a weird mixture made of anything at all? I'll drink it. I'm going to get well by next Wednesday so please do whatever you can to help! [livejournal.com profile] 45hasle already has as he is getting me cosylan (sweet sweet drug of mine) and antibiotics. Good man!

So, did any of you guys know that the BSG people found their cast at the set of Dark Angel? Yeah, that's right, I've now found five of the small parts in DA played by BSG actors. It's kinda neat. So far: Boomer/Sharon has played a transgenic x-5, Katie (Chief's wife) played an x-6 series transgenic, Dee played a blind girl named Annie, Leoban the cylon played the sheriff in a town and Chief played a hotel owner in the same town. Is there anyone I've missed? Will Kara Trace appear, for instance?

1 - List your top 10 celebrity crushes.
2 - Put all of them IN ORDER of your lust for them.(10 to 1, 1 being your number one fixation)
3 - Say which movie/show/thing it was that hooked you.
4 - Supply photos for said people
5 - Tag five people.

And before you see my results, I'll have you know that just picking ten was really hard! Really, really hard!

I hereby tag anyone who wants to take this thingie.
I'm nearly done tagging my old lj posts, and I came over this post here that you guys have to read: A complete toilet guide to Cuba I think it's funny!

On a different note, I just read a disturbing piece of news:

"The truth is that it would be very hard to recast, because Daniel is so famous in the role and is adored by the fans. But if his new image is seen to be at odds with the franchise, then the whole issue would have to be looked at...I guess we always knew that Harry and Daniel would have to grow up, but we hadn't bargained on full-frontal sex scenes. Nor, one imagines, had the star's millions of young fans."

cut from this Daily mail article.

I can't believe they're even considering replacing him in the last two movies. That would be sucky! Just because he's decided to play naked in one movie and a play this year. I mean, come on, it's not like it'd destroy the "Harry Potter" character that Daniel Radcliffe is all butch and manly. He can still pull off "Just Harry", I'm sure. Stupid WB afraid of the little kiddies. Most of the fans are rejoicing, I tell you! (Or at least I am). Points, views, discussion? Do you guys think they'll seriously consider changing actors for Harry?

This weekend I played more rpgs than I've played in a year. First, I played D&D 3 ed on Friday, which was great (I got to be a half-dragon, go me).

On Saturday, me and [livejournal.com profile] aj_stalin went to Holmestrand (the town I grew up in) to participate in Holmcon, an rpg con focusing on small, new rpgs that nobody normally gets to play or even know exists. Right up my alley in other words.

After that, me and aj went home to my parents to have dinner with them and finally went home and watched the new episode of Supernatural before bed. I was a little bit disappointed in that episode, too much angst, too little horror and too little Dean-time, but hey, what can you do? Today, I've gotten a mood theme with Supernatural. Isn't it neat?!

You all have to see this Firefly fanvid. Hilarious!

Back from Bergen. Still sick. Reading my flist with *gasp* msn running at the same time, a glass of red wine in one hand and a prawn cracker in the other. Life is good even though my body still insists on it's tiresome attempt at coughing up one of my lungs. In the last 24 hours I've seen no less than 12 episodes of Dark Angel. Why, you might ask yourself if you've actually seen some of this show, after all it is not overly good, the main characters have the work morals of demented 14teen year olds and the guy doing the music is hopeless. Oh, and whilst on the subject, if I ever get a hold of Randy Gertson, I will personally kick his ass. He has the sole responsibility of messing up every potentially good action scene in that show by putting on ambience music in the background instead of something that would enhance the feel of action. It's like he was sitting there going, "hmmm, this is the scene where Max kills 5 armed terrorists with her bare hands. I know, this is perfect for moby !!!" or "Oh, this is the slow dancing scene. Hmmm, I think this is a perfect moment for experimental jazz. After all, who wouldn't want to dance to something that had no recognizable rhytm !!!" the higher powers would forgive me if I killed him, I just know it.

Anyways, if this was a conversation I'm sure you would have asked me why I watched about 12 hours of a show I obviously do not love. The answer is, as it is to so many of my issues and things lately, in short, Jensen Ackles. Yeah, that's right, he shows up in episode 17. And yes, he is absolutely gorgeous as a crazy rouge super-kid. Not to mention that he is practically naked in his first shot. Yummy! Unfortunately he dies at the end of the episode *hunts down makers of show and attempts to murder them*, but since he actually will show up again in season 2 as "Alec" I'm okay with it.

If you've noticed how I have entered into a completely pointless long rant about Dark Angel and believe that this is an attempt at dodging questions about my concert, you are quite right. Okay then, the concert didn't go too well, but we got some great pics and the rest of the trip was magnificent. So all in all, good fun.

This trip's quote of course is made by [livejournal.com profile] aj_stalin and is as follows: "Behold, my singing crotch"

Fun fact for no reason: On my russelue (senior in high school special norwegian hat) I was named Dark Angel. Of course it was because I was all dark and gothic and had nothing to do with the show since I haven't seen it till now, but still...

I just took a short look backwards in my journal, and realized that I've talked too much about how sorry I feel for myself. So now I give you a post about something completely different:

My absolute above all others favourite professor Iver B. Neumann has just published his new book: "Harry Potter and international politics", a book about how literature, tv shows and movies change the way we precieve the world around us, but largely focusing on Harry Potter. Did I mention that this is the guy who will be helping me with my Masters degree? (Or, the professor who's arm I will twist until he agrees again even though I took a year off) I love that guy! I so wish I could go out and get that book tomorrow! Next week I'll so buy it! *squee*

I changed the background setting on my lj! (And while you're at it, check out [livejournal.com profile] aj_stalin s as well, but focus on me, I mean after all it's all about me! Me, me, me!)

Look at it, isn't he just adorable?

Some people might think I'm obsessed. [livejournal.com profile] aj_stalin however, knows better! ;)

(And I'm only slightly obsessed anyway. I mean, this is just a little huge fangirl crush...it's a faze my dear, it'll pass)

Ps. double chocolate moccha to anyone who can spot both movie/tv-series quotes in this entry)

OMFG! It was so good. I can´t believe I have to wait till July to see this film. it´s like 9 months away. Gah!

(Someone tell me how to make active links?)
Elijah Wood surprised us all by impressively showing that he did not have to be a sweet little hobbit in Sin City. Now, DanRad is trying to show the world that he is not only Harry Potter by playing a young boy with an unhealthy (sexual) obsession with horses. He will be performing naked on a stage in London in the play called Equus, with the other actors performing with horses heads. Our lovely DanRad will before the end of the play have poked out the eyes of six horses. I believe that this play will be effective in determining whether or not our lovely young Potter with the magical ability of making his lips disappear, will be able to play other parts later. Anyone up for going to London to see DanRad naked and insane?

So, we went on the camping trip of awkwardness. Me, Marthe, Aksel and Martin alone in a cabin with no car and no means of escape for three days. Luckily it went really well and I think we can all hang out without awkwardness or bad feelings from now on. Which is good since I don't really wanna loose them as friends.

Anyways, it was a bizarre trip. We went skinnydipping, and sometime during day one turned into nudists. Probably due to the large amounts of alcohol we drank. But the best part of the trip was when I set Martin on fire. That's right, I took my lighter and his chest hair lit up like a torch. Why, you ask would someone want to do such a thing. Well, Martin insisted on setting fire to a spiderweb even though I told him not to and said that if he did I'd set fire to him as well. He insisted that I wouldn't dare, and sat fire to the spiderweb (poor spider), so I had no choice.

Other great things included....hmmm...wait, no that was about it. Instead you get this great motivational poster:

This is just amazing:

I had a conversation with my lovely boyfriend yesterday where we discussed the apperance of Christopher Lee in different movies. We asserted that he was one of the great draculas and that he played the devil in Horror Hotel, but look at how many horrors he's actually played in: http://www.carfax-abbey.com/ActorSearchResults.cfm?ActorVar=79

Kudos for that Lee!

I have finally become one of the people who have read the last potter-book and is now anxiously waiting for everybody else to finish it so I can speak freely.

Spoileralert )

Christopher Lee should play in one of the Harry Potter movies. I could picture him making a good Mad-Eye Moody, or even Voldemort reborn. The last showdown between the young Potter and the evil Voldemort (Lee) would be magnificient! Someone should tell the castingdirector (and perhaps Lee himself...)
