The last couple of weeks I've felt more and more like Ben Hawkins in the Insomnia episode of Carnivale or Okwe from Dirty Pretty Things. Falling asleep if I try to sit quietly, my fingers refusing to listen to what my brain is telling them to do, my legs so heavy stairs seem impossible to walk up. But now, after only one night of 6 hours of sleep, I feel instantly better. Now I recognize the Martine that can find fun in the most dull assignments. Today I checked if I could get the little machine that rips up papers to make the same noise throughout my paper-destruction assignment. I almost managed... Then, I tried to sort papers to the rhythm of Regina Spektor's "Freaky". I was quite good at it if you ask me! I've also done loads of copying today. I like copying. I like the sounds the machine makes and the feel of really hot papers between my fingers.

Tonight, me and aj_stalin are going to see Marie Antoinette at Gimle. Finally a movie I want to see is shown in my favorite cinema! Ah, good weekend approaching (*knock on wood*)!

I didn't get to be a volunteer, as I was too busy working for Vernepliktsverket (as I am now, all the way until June/July). Got to see 6 films though: Pan's Labyrinth, Time, Renaissance, Paprika, A Scanner Darkly and Clerks 2. I'm afraid attending the festival this year (and some years after) would be hard, as I'm moving to Trondheim this fall for studying at NTNU.

Wanna see Shortbus next week? I'm available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Can we say Wednesday, Thursday or Friday instead? I'm invited to a Trivial Pursuit-gathering on Tuesday, of all things. I thought it got canceled, but apparently it wasn't.

No worries! I'll keep my journal alive for as long as I can, and I will always come back to Oslo as it's the city most of my friends and relatives live in. And we will get to know eachother, sooner or later. :p Aren't you going to Roskilde?
