Since I'm sure many people have already dazzeled you all with their detailed, yet clever reports from comicon, I will not bother to write down everything. Suffice to say, the hostel was really nice (hostel cat, go there if you're in the San Diego area), the panels were both fun and interesting and I got in on a press pass, meaning I got the conferance for free and could run up in front of the stage and take pictures without feeling bad.

I will however, give you the best quotes from the conferance and a few pictures.

(oh, and I just have to say this: Yes, I saw Jensen Ackles, yes he was about 3 feet from me, no I didn't get to talk to him, but I got to talk to Eric Kripke, and though he spent the entire time he wasn't talking posing for the pictures he knew people were taking, he was both funny and halfway intelligent when he spoke. I love that man!)

Quotes

”I’m not gonna dance for you guys. I’d feel like a monkey. I’d look like a monkey.” –Joss Whedon

“Well, if he had a year to live, what would Dean do? Well, I think it’s pretty obvious. And he plans to do a lot of that…yeah, good times.” –Jensen Ackles

“It’s been 2000 years guys, let’s have a few laughs” –Seth MacFarlane on why it was wrong to sensor his joke on the last supper.

“I don’t think I’m ready for the word “hentai” to appear in my books” –Laurell K. Hamilton

“I’m reaching the end of what my wife refers to as my Marvel-midlife-crisis” –Joss Whedon

“There is nothing like looking out over 4000 people to make you think ‘Wow, I should really have prepared something.’” –Neil Gaiman

“We’re not putting My Little Ponies on the posters and saying “See Saw 4, it’s the feel-good movie of the season”, so I say fuck ‘em” –Darren Lynn Bousmann on critics who are against the Saw movies.

“There are so many really creepy things swirling around in the back of my head. I have to get them out.” –Joss Whedon

“This is a show that means something. A show that has something to say about what is happening in today’s society. I am proud to be a part of a show like that.” Richard Hatch about Battlestar Galactica.

Pics!

Neil gaiman. I alway love hearing him talk...and seeing him take his jacket off...I mean, talk about books. Yeah...

Me and chesire monkey! See, I was actually there!

Saw pushing daisies, the pilot anyway, and aren't these two just the cutest???

And when I say "these two", i of course mean mostly this guy. Oh lee pace, you who actually held my gaze until I blushed and looked away, and then smiled at me. I feel a celebrity crush coming on! ;)

Yeah that's right, this is the guy who's responsible for casting Jensen as Dean. God I love this man. Let's all send him gift baskets okay?

and here he is, the man I got up at 6 o'clock to see! The man I went to comicon to see. The man who I doubt got that I am the woman of his life...but I'm still hoping.

Look, he's got that evil look...mmmm...yummy.

See what I mean about the posing though? He was pushing his lips out and making sure his best side was facing the cameras every time he wasn't required to talk. Vain vain Jensen...

I personally think he's cuter when he doesn't pose. Agree? disagree??

Look how angry he looks. And this wasn't even when he talked about fighting. He was talking about the impala. The size of the engine and the model. I felt weak in the knees. thank god I was already sitting down.

Here he's laughing. i don't remember why. Maybe it was when he talked about Dean and sex. Mmm...dean.

see? Posing. I will say no more...

I now see that I might have gone a bit overboard with the amount of Jensen pictures. Yeah.

But then again, I mean, it's not like I posted all the 52 pics I have on my camera...plus, he is hot!

Look, it's Tom Zarek! Um, I mean, Richard Hatch. And he called me sweetheart! And I got to talk to him. Look at that hand. I shook that hand! ;)

Chesire Monkey and her Abigor 60. We were standing in line to see jessica Alba.

doesn't he look funny. I think he looks funny...

And here she is, Jessica Alba. Wow, she's so hot! So so so hot...

One more for good measure...

Oh, yeah, and I met [livejournal.com profile] chesire_monkey and [livejournal.com profile] abigor_60 again, and we hung out practically throughout the entire conferance. Which pretty much doubled the fun. thanks guys!

And I met a whole bunch of other lj-ers. It was nice to finally meet you [livejournal.com profile] brianrubin. thank you for helping me to the front of the line for Supernatural. and here I thought it would have been enough to just show up at 7.30 for a panel that started at 2.45. You knew better, and I am grateful! And you [livejournal.com profile] limminel even though we only talked for about 5 minutes. :)

I will now add all the other people I met who I've yet to friend. Excellent conferance! :)

You know what, I'm thinking yes! But maybe we should drink something a little less sweet. *trying to think of something I could drink a lot of quickly without barfing* If I can't think of anything, I'm in with samboucca! It's a good drinking game

Seriously? It was a terrible game. We only lasted what, ten, fifteen moves? And I think I was the only one who drank any...
Then again, if we could only stand tequila, it could work. But I'm sure we can find some other innocent game to horribly twist 'till it's a dreadful display of debauchery and drunkenness! We've got half a year to plan...

Good, cause I suck at chess (but I distinctly remember having to drink too. Because I remember reaching the point where I thought I'd never ever wanna drink Sambucca again).

Drinking ludo?
