Roskilde was fun, though muddy. To be quite honest, I'm not much of a festival person, I find the idea of being muddy for a week quite disgusting, and I've never been much of a camper. So spending a week in a wet tent, walking around drunk in muddy boots, with muddy pants, and muddy hands, and muddy jackets sound to me to be a lot like hell. Turns out, it was. But then again, if I get to spend my time in hell with awesome people like
aj_stalin, Hanne, Margrethe and Annett, then I won't be complaining too much down there either.
All in all, the music was fun, the alcohol was fun, the people were great and the logistics, the camping experience and the mud was pure hell. So though I probably won't be going back to Roskilde ever, it was nice to be able to say that I survived the muddiest, wettest, most horrid Roskilde that's been so far. That's right people, between 4 - 5000 people went home, but I stayed even though everything I owned was wet and muddy, my tent got flooded and I got sick.
Bands I saw:
+the Killers (awesome)
+Bjork (also awesome, even though I didn't find any of the people I was supposed to watch it with)
+Mastodon(though I was too wet to enjoy them)
+My Chemical Romance (a little of them at least)
+Machine Head (a little of those too)
+Arctic Monkeys (awesome)
+Beastie Boys (totally awesome, though I lost everyone I knew and was stuck with the beers I bought for them)
+Maher Shalal Haz BashSome weird japanese guy who played 120 songs in an hour (totally awesome, but probably wouldn't have been if I wasn't drunk from all the beer I had to drink because I lost the people I knew at the start of the Beastie Boys concert)
+BigBang (awesome)
+Clipse (allright)
+Timbuktu & Damn (best concert ever!)
