Today is my first day back at work after my sickness, and even though I’m still coughing like mad, mucus and all, I’m happy to be back. It feels nice, everyone seems happy to see me and the work is good (though I’m a little behind, causing a little bit of stress). My body feels tingly, like I’m about to fall asleep. I have no trouble keeping my eyes open, but every time I close them my body tries to insinuate that that’s their natural state. I guess it’s just natural since this is the first day in a week I’ve actually gotten up at 6.30.

Uffen is a good word. It’s the Norwegian equalent of the English word oogie, but every time I say it I get this fluffy feeling in my tummy, sorta like that feeling you get after the first sip of an amazingly good cup of cocoa. I like it. It is officially on my list of good words, right up there with disintergration and sip. Words that make me feel good when I say them.

I have a dilemma. This weekend I’ve been invited to go to Naken (a gay bar in Oslo) with [livejournal.com profile] lazerjulie and to play cyberpunk (okay, so I sorta bullied them into playing with me, rather than getting invited, but still) with [livejournal.com profile] 45hasle and a bunch of people. In addition, this "hard baroque" new way of showing opera with a Norwegian orchestra see website here is happening, and there’s a small rpg con in Holmestrand (my hometown) that I’ve wanted to go to the last 2 years. Now, what should I be doing this weekend?

In addition, I got tagged by [livejournal.com profile] sandchigger so here goes nothing...

Guilt
What is yours?
Explain yourself
Culinary: Chocolate No explainations needed I should think, chocolate is so yummy and nummy and everything else ummy that everyone should love it
Literary: Laurel K. Hamilton Yes, I know she writes pulp fantasy, I know her Anita Blake series turned into pvp at about book 9 or 10, I even know that it's not even that anymore, by book 14 it's turned into relationship trauma of Days of our Lives like proportions. Know how I know? Because I feel compelled to by every single book non-the-less...
Audiovisual: Les Miserables I'm blaming my parents. My entire family loves this musical in larger-than-life-like proportions, why should I be any better? It was after all the first theatre-like thing I saw...
Musical: Obscure bands I take this secret pleasure in listening to, and pimping out, music nobody I know has heard of. Presently it's Revolution Void, APVR and Hurts to Purr. Turns out Revolution Void is the most difficult to get other people to like.
Celebrity: Jensen Ackles On the long highway that is my celebrity crushes, Jude Law is the lane I'm driving in, sometimes skipping over to the Christina Ricci lane, going back through Jonathan Rhys Meyer's lane, but suddenly, in the middle of the road, Jensen Ackles stood like a brick wall. Yes, I have a major crush on him right now. Scarily big actually as it reduces me to a drooling fangirl.

I love the feel of warm paper between my hands. You know when you've just copied loads of pages, and you lift them up to carry back to your office, but the paper is so hot you almost can't carry it? I love that feeling. It also has a certain smell. Adore it! :)
