So, I'm now in Fort Worth texas, living on [livejournal.com profile] sandchigger couch. He has seven cats, and his girlfriend has two dogs, and they're all currently sharing the living room with me. Intense, but fun.

Today I've been to a real American mall, bought a pair of shoes (I know I can't really afford it, but what the heck) and eaten a caramelized apple. Good old-fashioned American things! Tomorrow I will do the tourist thing and check out downtown Fort Worth. It will be awesome!

I'm glad you reported in. I was giving you one more day before calling you. *is a worrier*

Glad you're still having a fantastic time!

My computer broke down so internet has been even more difficult to get a hold of. *hugs you* I'm glad I qualify for your worrying...but I'm still having an awesome time! :)

It's not "all American" unless it's too greasy to consume. XD

Omg nooooo!! I'm not going to be in Dallas/Fort Worth for another week :(. Looks like we'll miss each other on this leg, though at least we got to see each other at Comic-Con, even if it was just briefly :(

I love all-american things...I wish I had the metabolism of a bat (has to eat 50 times its own body weight each day)!

Wait, you're going to fort worth? Oh shit! We're like meant to never meet each other...

Yes, very! And your cats love me...which is a new, but quite nice experience!

American cuisine

Any other American foods you wish to try and haven't yet? I am curious as too what you have heard of and what might surprise you.

Re: American cuisine

So far I've tried:

+Pigs in a blanket
+American pancakes
+caramelized apples
+hash browns
+American pizza
+donut

I wanna try:

+That thing where they fry ice cream
+Those deep fried onions that look like flowers or something
+Eating at the Olive garden
+Buy a box of donuts just so I can carry the pink box with me, and can try different kinds of donuts, not just the chocolate covered one
+I wanna try that cajun thing where they stuff a chicken in a duck in a turkey and fry it all up, or something like that. It sounds positively horrendous, but in a delicious way!

My parents live at the airport, which is right between Dallas and Fort Worth!

I am surprised that you haven't tried a deep fried twinkie. That sound like it would fit right in on this list. Have you ever had one?
