So, yesterday I first went jogging (in the summer heat of California. Be impressed with me, I am) and then did some yoga (I am like the healthiest tourist ever *very proud*). Then, I bullied ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
chesire_monkey into agreeing to have dinner with me just so I'd have an excuse to drive up to Sacramento (and to meet her, of course). And it was awesome! I just expected her to take a little bit of time off from work to hang out with me, but she took the entire evening off and we went out to a Mexican restaurant (ernesto's?), then she and her boyfriend/husband/lover??? took me to oldtown Sacramento which was this awesome old western-style part of the city with fortune tellers, candy stores and, for some strange reason, tattoo parlors. The evening ended at their place where I finally got to see the movie Pleasantville. All in all, a mighty fine trip.
This morning,chesire_monkey and I went out for breakfast and I got to try out the American speciality "pigs in a blanket", which turned out to be sausages wrapped in pancakes with butter and syrup. And it was yummy. And tonight I'm doing even more roleplaying with John and Liz. Too bad I forgot to bring my camera to Sacramento, or else you'd have gotten to see loads of pictures (especially since I got stuck in traffic on the way up there and thus had lots of time to admire the scenery.)
