Quick weekend post
Do you guys ever wake up realizing that the day ahead is going to be really hard to get through? Not because you're sad, or because you have way too much to do, just because you're really tired? It feels like I'm moving around in jelly. I've already gulped down 2 cups of coffee, and both eaten breakfast and a small power bar in the hopes that it would wake me up, but it still feels like I'm trying to force my fingers to move against a higher purpose of crap.
I figured I'd tell you guys about my weekend to warm them up, and then keep going with my ridiculous pile of old newspapers.
On Friday, me and
aj_stalin went to
sjokoladepiken's smashing birthday party. The high points were definitely the three different types of dip, the pavlova, and the fact that I met a guy who was interested in talking not only about zombie survival, but also about rpgs and everything else that's awesome in the world. Plus, he has an lj, so he must be cool she said, realizing that having an lj is more likely to get you branded as a geek than as "cool". I hope
sjokoladepiken had as much fun as I did, since it was her party.
On Saturday,
aj_stalin and I went to
lazerjulie's apartment-warming party. It was really nice. We had chocolate cake and alcohol, listened to music and even though I only knew about half the people, the people I did know I hadn't talked to for ages and it was really nice to find out what they were up to, and the people I didn't already know were awesome. So all was good in the world.
On Sunday I managed to write, and send out, about half the local characters for my summer larp. Only five characters left to write, and one character left to cast and I'll be done (for now at least). Now, if only I knew we'd get money, I'd be happy.
I guess I'll have to pretend like this post made me feel all warm and awake inside, even though walking half-way to work today, drinking coffee and eating lots of food, plus listening to ridiculously cheerful music didn't wake me up, just to make myself feel better. After all, it's important to me to get through these next two weeks and not fail in my mission to get done before easter. Wish me luck!
