martinemonster: (hello boys)

Yeah! that's right bitch!

I passed! I so passed! I would even go so far as to say that I almost nailed it! Wish I'd have said some things I didn't, forgot one article, but basically they gave me lots of praise and smiles. So awesome!

Then I picked up my next exam assignment and realized that if it had been a written exam I would have failed, because I really need to sit down and re-read the curriculum to answer this one. But hey, I have a week to prepare. See me preparing!

*erases that second paragraph*

Hush. You passed. Be happy. :)

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 01:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I am happy. In fact, I'm so happy I'm giddy. :D

But I mean, come on, I have a curriculum that is basically only about foreign aid and social movements and they give me this assignment: "After the cold war: A Norwegian foreign policy-tradition under pressure?"

I'm sure I'll do fine. But if I'd have to answer something about it right now, I'd fail 'cause I don't know this shit.

[identity profile] 45hasle.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 02:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Good going fag. Told you you would pass. Should've, could've, would've don't mean nuffin', remember.

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 02:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! *grinning*

:D

But i really think it should be against the rules to schedule another exam right after. I'm still giddy, I'm not ready to focus...

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Just give a vague knowledgeable sounding answer like "After the cold war and the disbanding of the USSR, of course Norwegian foreign policy changed, but is a change of tradition really a bad thing when faced with a volatile and dynamic world?"

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure it changed at all actually (she said, re-reading her curriculum). Norway has had a long, uninterrupted, tradition of neutralism and security as their main foreign policy thingies.

Plus, though your very good answer would still not make a 20 minute lecture... :(

But I'm trying to focus. See, I'm good. :D

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
If you can't bullshit for 20 minutes and make it sound like you know what you're talkin' about then you need to work harder. ;)

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I am working! *sulk* Maybe not so hard though...(she said as she kept hitting the refresh button, waiting for new comments so she had something else to do besides stare at the blank computer screen)

[identity profile] abigor60.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Congratulations. I can not say I am surprised that you are doing well though. Thank you also for the card. I really liked it.

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I meant working at bullshitting. Seriously, I can't tell you how many college courses my ability to pull an answer out of my ass got me through.

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

Oh, and I'm glad you liked it. :D I was really going to buy an actual card, but then there were none at the store and all that shit...figured I would probably keep putting it off if I didn't just do it, so cheap-ass christmas cards 'r us! ;)

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
True, it has for me too. But people expect more when they give you a week to prepare...

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Plans for this weekend? What will you be doing?

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
This is true, sometimes.

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Working. :(

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, well you're not alone. I'm working too!

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Hooray for companionable misery!

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's right! :D

(Doesn't it suck to know that your friends are out together and you're the only one staying in?)

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
If by "suck" you mean "feel like the normal state of affairs" then yeah.

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, so for me it doesn't feel like the normal state of affairs, it's just now. But it still sucks...

My so-called friends are apparently out having fun wearing suits and fur and I'm all alone doing my exam thing in another city. Life sucks!

(I made a post. Comment?)

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, see, I never go out so I'm kinda used to it.

(and I did comment)

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah. But then again, you don't drink and you have a girlfriend. Why would you go out?

(I replied...)

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I never went out before I had a girlfriend precisely because I never understood why people go out in the first place. *shrugs*

(I saw)

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Again with the not drinking thing. And I like you when you're bored at work. you're a heavy commentor! :D

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
This is what happens when I'm waiting for things to get done so I can continue. In business classes, this process is known as a "bottleneck".

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, in my world, it's just known as putting-stuff-off to have fun. :D

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-08 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I'm not putting anything off. I have to wait for this thing to finish before I can move on.

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-09 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay then...

I'm almost done with the sources and ready to start writing and preparing. It'll be awesome! *pats self on shoulder*

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-09 02:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but you started that yesterday. What happened?!

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-09 02:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I cannot deal with criticism right now...also, I took some time off since I was at my brother's place celebrating his birthday.

You see, my parents planned my brother's 30th birthday months ago so that everyone could come. then, my school changed the dates of the exams last week. So I couldn't really skip going to my brother's birthday just because I had an exam, could I?

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-09 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Well happy belated birthday to your brother then. :) He's old now.

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-09 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but he's happy. And his life is afterall over...he has a steady job, wife, house, boat, car, kid, motorcycle and now a wine cooler. Why shouldn't he be thirty?

And I'm still gonna get my thingy done. It's not due till Thursday.

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-09 03:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't doubt you.

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-09 03:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Naw, but I sorta did...

But I'm good now.

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-09 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
You've been good for at least as long as I've known ya. :)

[identity profile] martinemonster.livejournal.com 2007-12-09 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
You nice man you *hugs* :D

[identity profile] sandchigger.livejournal.com 2007-12-09 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
*blush*
